OSRS servers down has happened after the update on March 26th. Currently the team has fixed all the issues and prevents any additional potential disruption.
Details of OSRS down issue on March 26th
Following the regular game update at 11:30am GMT on March 26th, the following issues have been found in Old School RS:
Some game worlds didn't properly reboot.
Some game worlds were down with a very short warning.
Other game worlds crashed due to an engine issue.
The team took all game worlds offline to fix these issues and stabilise the game update. After working on restoring the game, all worlds have been online from 15:28 GMT. OSRS connecting to update server issue has been solved.
If you are affected by OSRS servers down
According to the recent dev blog, the develop team will manually assist the small number of accounts that were negatively affected by OSRS servers down this time. If you lost items as a result of OSRS down on March 26th, you are encouraged to submit a ticket to the Support team by no later than Thursday 2 April 2020 at 12:00AM GMT. When submitting a ticket, you should tell the team which world you were on, the time you died, and accurate details of any items that you lost. Notice that any false claim will result in action being taken against the account.
