As you all know, there will be a micro-transaction updates in the near future which provide in-game benefits to players who pay additional fees. Unfortunately, players are not supporting this idea. Moreover, they even fight against the pay-to win mico-transactions.

The tendency of pay-to-win micro-transactions

Through all of those updates from Jagex, RS 3 no doubt is headed down the road of pay-to-win.
First of all, you may think about the Silverhawk Boots, which can give you an extreme amount of agility XP, but you have to get it on Treasure Hunter.
Now there's the Wealth Evaluator recently. It adds up the Grand Exchange value of all the items in your bank, inventory, and a few other various places, and tells you what your total wealth is. Sounds like a useful update. However, it isn't available to everyone. You have to 'rent' the ability by runecoins to use it.
Guess what will be the next? There is no doubt that Jagex has been very consistent in reasserting their intent to make RS increasingly "pay-to-win" over the past two years.

Different opinions for pay-to-win micro-transactions

It may just fine about micro transactions for some players. They believe that Solomon is a great thing for people who want cosmetics, and doesn't bother people who don't. It's kind of like a bonus feature that doesn't give you an unfair advantage.
However, it may have somewhere needs to be revised. For example, promotions are beginning to get out of hand, and the rewards, such as the Silverhawk boots, are far too overpowered for how you get them. They would have been an amazing piece of content, and could have been used to revive a dead mini game if placed as a new reward, but instead they were just slapped onto Treasure hunter.

Whether "pay to win" micro-transactions are a good tendency or not? Well, it still needs your identification. Jagex always needs your opinions. So do we. If there is something you would like to say to us, feel free to leave messages on our Facebook. We would be really appreciated for your advices.
