New Delve Boss Rewards in OSRS: The Final Dawn in Varlamore
Mar-12-2025 PSTOSRS has introduced a fresh set of reward proposals for the upcoming Delve boss, The Doom of Machi Adle, as part of The Final Dawn in Varlamore. These new rewards have been designed based on community feedback, ensuring they are powerful, interesting, and rewarding for players who engage in this challenging content. Let's take a deep dive into these new items, their stats, and how they will impact gameplay.
The Aick Treads – The New Best-in-Slot Boots
The Aick Treads are a new set of boots that will drop from The Doom of Machi Adle and come with a unique upgrading system. Instead of requiring specific boots to enhance them, players can choose which existing high-level boots they want to sacrifice. This provides flexibility and ensures the boots are useful immediately upon obtaining them.
Base Stats:
• Requires 80 Strength, Defense, Range, and Magic to equip.
• Offers +1% Magic damage.
• Provides +4 Melee Strength.
• Grants solid defensive stats.
Upgraded Stats:
• Requires combining with existing boots and Demon Tears.
• Upgraded boots provide:
• +6 Melee Strength
• +3 Range Strength
• +2% Magic Damage
The upgrade process allows players to use Primordial Boots (+2 Melee Strength), Pegasian Boots (+1 Range Strength), and Eternal Boots (+1% Magic Damage). This ensures continued value for these items in the economy while making the boots more accessible overall.
Furthermore, the boots can be reverted to their original components (excluding Demon Tears), providing flexibility for players who may need to swap out their upgrades later.
Demon Tears – A New Crafting and Charging Resource
A major addition to this boss is Demon Tears, a tradable and consumable resource that serves multiple purposes:
1. Upgrading the Aick Treads – Required to enhance the boots.
2. Fueling the Eye of Aak – Used as charges for this new magic weapon.
3. Crafting New Equipment – Used in the creation of the Confliction Gauntlets and other rewards.
4. Recycling Dupes – Extra boss drops can be broken down into Demon Tears, ensuring continued use.
Demon Tears are designed to be common enough that players won't have to grind excessively for upgrades, but valuable enough to maintain a strong market presence.
The Eye of Aak – A New Rapid-Fire Magic Weapon
The Eye of Aak is a one-handed magic weapon designed to complement the Tumeken's Shadow by filling a different combat role. With a 3-tick attack speed, it offers a much faster alternative for PvM encounters where attack speed matters more than raw power.
Base Stats:
• Requires 83 Magic to wield.
• +30 Magic Attack Bonus
• +2 Prayer Bonus
• +6 Ranged Bonus (potentially useful for hybrid setups)
• Consumes 2 Death Runes & 1 Chaos Rune per attack (or 1 Demon Tear).
Special Attack – Magic Rending:
• 100% Special Attack energy is required.
• Doubles accuracy and increases max hit by 30%.
• Drains opponent's Magic Defense based on damage dealt.
This means that, beyond its fast attack speed, it has a special attack that synergizes well with the Twisted Bow by lowering enemy magic defense, making it a potent tool for difficult PvM encounters.
Confliction Gauntlets – The Ultimate Magic Gloves
Replacing the Tormented Bracelet, the Confliction Gauntlets introduce a 7% Magic Damage Bonus, making them the new best-in-slot gloves for magic users.
Base Stats:
• Requires 90 Hitpoints to equip.
• +2% additional Magic Damage over the Tormented Bracelet.
• Extra Magic Accuracy Bonus.
Special Passive – Spell Accuracy Boost:
• If you miss a magic attack, your next attack rolls accuracy twice against the same enemy.
• This means that players with moderate magic accuracy will see significantly improved consistency.
These gloves require Machi Adle Cloth (an untradeable boss drop), a Tormented Bracelet, Demon Tears, and 83 Crafting & 70 Smithing (boostable) to create. Once crafted, they become tradable, ensuring a strong market for them.
The Demonic Digger – A Spade with a Twist
A fun and useful utility item, the Demonic Digger is an upgraded Spade that speeds up certain in-game activities.
How to Obtain:
• Crafted using a Burrowing Appendage drop from The Doom of Machi Adle, Demon Tears, and a regular Spade.
• Requires 65 Crafting to assemble.
Effects:
• Instantly processes any farming action that requires a Spade.
• Expected to drastically improve farm runs and efficiency in clue scroll digging.
• Requires 65 Farming to use.
Final Thoughts – A Worthwhile Set of Rewards?
