OSRS Bone Voyage Guide

Filled with secret spots, skill-training opportunities, and engaging minigames, it offers content not found anywhere else in Gielinor. However, getting there requires completing the Bone Voyage quest. While the quest itself is fairly straightforward, this guide will walk you through every step to ensure a smooth journey.
What Is OSRS Bone Voyage?
Bone Voyage is a quest where you help the Varrock Museum build a barge for an expedition to a mysterious island north of Morytania. During the quest, you'll interact with Curator Haig Halen and unlock access to Fossil Island—a member-only area brimming with archaeological wonders.

OSRS Bone Voyage Walkthrough
1. Start the Quest: Speak to Curator Haig Halen in the Varrock Museum. He mentions a mysterious island and directs you to the barge foreman at the Digsite.

· Adjust the rudder based on the arrow on the interface.
· Keep sails fully deployed when moving straight for faster travel.
· Successfully fill the progress bar to reach Fossil Island.
Reward: 1 Quest Point and a Fossil Island notebook.
What Is Fossil Island?
Fossil Island is a members-only area northeast of Morytania. It features a variety of skill training, minigames, and unique resources. The main island has seven smaller islands, but access is limited, except for Lithkren in the northwest (used in Dragon Slayer II).
Key Locations:
· Museum Camp: Build utilities via Construction.
· Mushroom Forest: Hunt Ancient Zygomites, track herbiboars, plant trees, and calcify fossils.
· Tar Swamp: Collect Sulliuscep mushrooms and explore the hostile swamp.
· Volcano: Home to the Fossil Island Volcano and Volcanic Mine.
· Underwater Areas: Use a rowboat to explore and refill oxygen with pufferfish; includes a bank chest.
· House on the Hill: Ancient dragonkin structure with machines and a digsite pendant enchantment; the basement contains notes and diaries.
Construction Tip: To fully enhance the Museum Camp, bring 10 oak planks, 2 iron bars, 25 nails, 1 tinderbox, 2 logs, 3 soft clay, 1 bucket, 2 ropes, and 5 planks (requires 29 Construction).
Conclusion
While the Kudos requirement is the most time-consuming part of Bone Voyage, the quest itself is relatively easy. The rewards—unlocking Fossil Island, gaining a Quest Point, and acquiring the Fossil Island notebook—make the effort well worth it. Once on the island, you'll have access to a wealth of new training methods, resources, and secrets, making it one of the most exciting destinations in OSRS.
