OSRS Hespori Guide - Quick and Efficient Farming

Sep-22-2025 PST

Hespori is a unique Skilling Boss in Old School RuneScape, designed for players looking to farm farming experience and rare seeds. Unlike combat bosses, Hespori focuses on strategic planting, timing, and preparation. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to tackle Hespori efficiently.

Location and Requirements

Hespori can be found in the west wing of the Farming Guild. To access this area:

· Farming Level Required: 65

· Entry Method: Simply enter the cave in the west wing.

Keep in mind that Hespori does not appear immediately. You first need to plant a Hespori seed in the designated plot. Growth time ranges from 22 to 32 hours, depending on when you plant it. You can confirm Hespori’s readiness by:

· Observing the flower behind the cave—if it has fully sprouted, Hespori is ready.

· Checking farming timers if you have RuneLite or a similar client plugin.

Obtaining Hespori Seeds

Hespori seeds can be obtained from a variety of farming activities:

· Checking the health of fully grown trees, bushes, or cactia

· The last harvest of herbs, hops, allotments, flowers, mushrooms, or giant seaweed

· Completing Farming Contracts

A popular and efficient method is farming giant seaweed on Fossil Island:

· Growth time: ~40 minutes

· Drop chance: 1 in 15 per harvest

Once you acquire a seed, plant it in the Hespori plot using a seed dibber and return once it has fully grown.

Recommended Gear and Inventory Setup

Hespori is designed to be fairly easy, but proper preparation is key:

Combat Stats Recommended:

· Attack: ~60

· Strength: ~60

· Defense: ~60–99 (higher for safer fights)

Weapons:

· Melee: Dragon Scimitar or Dragon Dagger (spec) combo

· Ranged: Blowpipe (with darts) or Magic Shortbow (with arrows)

Potions and Supplies:

· Super combat potion or individual attack/strength potions

· Antidote or anti-poison

· Prayer potions (optional, depending on armor)

· Food (enough for 4–6 hits if your defense is decent)

· Spade (to clear the patch after the fight)

· Seed dibber + Hespori seed (for replanting)

Fighting Hespori

Step 1: Enter the Cave

The fight begins as soon as you attempt to harvest Hespori. Before starting:

1. Drink your potions (Super combat, antidote)

2. Equip your ranged weapon

3. Activate prayers based on your armor:

  · High Magic defense: Protect from Range

  · High Ranged defense: Protect from Magic

Step 2: Flower Phases

Hespori has three flower phases:

1. At the start of the fight, four flowers spawn in each corner.

2. Kill them using a one-hit ranged attack.

3. When Hespori drops below 66% HP, another set of four flowers spawns.

4. Repeat at 33% HP.

Tip: Use a spec weapon like DDS to quickly deal damage during each phase. If Hespori binds you in place, spam click to move, breaking free within ~5 attempts to avoid heavy damage.

Step 3: Melee Phase

Once all flower phases are complete, switch to melee to finish Hespori. With ~60 Attack and Strength and decent Defense, you will only need a few pieces of food.

Rewards and Drops

Defeating Hespori yields:

· 12.6k Farming XP

· Two drops:

  1. Animacy Table Roll

    · Addis Seeds: Increase global patch yield

    · Iosaur Seeds: Reduce the chance of diseased patches by 80%

    · Kronos Seeds: Chance to skip a growth stage

  2. Regular Seed Table Roll

Special Drops:

· Bottomless Compost Bucket (1 in 35 chance): Holds 10k uses of any compost type. Can also be bought from the GE (~770k OSRS gold).

· Tangle Root (rare, ~1 in 5k chance)

Efficient Farming Tips

1. Use RuneLite timers to track growth and optimize your planting schedule.

2. For seed stockpiling, giant seaweed farming on Fossil Island is fast and reliable.

3. Adjust your gear based on your skill levels; Hespori can be done with budget gear if your combat stats are sufficient.

4. After harvesting, immediately replant the Hespori seed to keep your farming schedule continuous.

Hespori is a quick, rewarding, and repeatable Skilling boss for players looking to gain farming XP and rare seeds. With the right preparation and understanding of the fight mechanics, even mid-level accounts can defeat Hespori efficiently.
