Looking to jump into a Nex mass for the first time, but don't want to sit through a wall of text? Here's a quick, no-nonsense guide that covers only what you need to know to get started.

Best Gear Setup

· Main weapon: Your best crossbow with Ruby (e) bolts – this is where the majority of your damage comes from.

· Special weapon: Lightbearer to recharge your specs faster.

· Boots: Ancient d'hide boots (useful for the altar).

· Gloves: Zaryte vambraces (they count as an ancient item – not required, but very nice to have).

· Alternative weapon: Toxic blowpipe for Blood Reavers. Great way to grab MVP potential.

· Optional: Toxic staff of the dead or other high DPS gear if available.

· After Fumus dies, move northeast to Umbra.

· Switch to Protect from Range.

Phase 3 (60% → 40% HP)

· Once Umbra dies, switch back to Protect from Magic.

· Focus on Blood Reavers with your blowpipe.

· Watch for shadows under players – move if it spawns under you.

Phase 4 (40% → 20% HP)

· Attack Cruor in the southeast.

· Be wary of Nex's ice special attack:

  · If it surrounds a player, teammates can free them.
