Aug-25-2025 PSTRegicide is one of the more challenging quests in Old School RuneScape, but it's incredibly rewarding. Not only does it grant access to the city of Tyranuin and various teleport options, but it also grants the ability to wield the powerful Dragon Halberd, battle the dangerous Zulra, and gain a hefty agility experience reward. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to tackle Regicide efficiently.

Starting the Quest
Begin in East Ardougne Castle, upstairs in King Lathas's room. Talk to King Lathas, ask “I assume you have a plan?” and then confirm starting the quest.
Step-by-Step Quest Walkthrough
1. Start the Quest
· Begin upstairs in King Lathas' room at East Ardougne Castle.
· Talk to King Lathas and say, "I assume you have a plan."
· Accept the quest to start.
2. Enter the Underground Pass (Again!)
· Teleport to West Ardougne, run northwest to the underground pass entrance.
· Enter the cave and head west to the green swamp blocking your path.
· Take the southern route around the swamp, climbing over rock slides as needed.
· Search abandoned equipment for an oily cloth.
· Use the oily cloth on your arrows to make fire arrows, then light a fire arrow and wield it with your bow.
· Fire at the guide rope holding the bridge to cross it.
3. Navigate Obstacles and Traps
· Pick up the plank in the small room northwest of the bridge.
· Use ropes to swing across chasms and carefully cross the 5x5 grid using your known safe path.
· Pull the lever to lower the portcullis.
· Run past or carefully disarm traps in the narrow corridor.
· Climb down the well in the room beyond the traps.
4. Escape the Prison and Cross the Ledge
· Run west to the prison cells and picklock the southeastern gate.
· Dig through mud with your spade to access a hidden passage.
· Cross the ledge to continue south.
5. Agility or Thieving Route
· If you have 50 Thieving, picklock gates to skip the agility obstacle.
· Otherwise, carefully cross a series of stone bridges requiring 56 agility.
· Eat a summer pie to boost your agility temporarily.
6. Continue Through Dense Forest and Reach Iorwerth Camp
· Squeeze through pipes and tunnels filled with skeletons.
· Use your plank to cross traps near a large pillar.
· Cross multiple bridges and winding paths, avoiding falling and losing progress.
· Reach the camp and talk to Lord Iorwerth.
7. Talk to the Elf Tracker and Explore Tyrus's Camp
· Make a strip of cloth on the loom in the tent.
· Journey southeast to find the elf tracker.
· Return to Lord Iorwerth, receive the crystal pendant.
· Run back to the elf tracker and follow tracks through dense forest, preparing for the Tyrus Guard fight.
8. Defeat the Tyrus Guard
· Protect from melee is recommended.
· Safe spot the level 110 Tyrus Guard near mushrooms to defeat it safely.
· Step over trip wires, drink anti-poison if necessary.
9. Collect Barrels and Prepare the Barrel Bomb
· Pick up three barrels scattered around the camp.
· Collect colar from the bubbling swamp and sulfur from nearby piles.
· Return to Lord Iorwerth, read the Big Book of Bangs and get the pot.
· Teleport to Edgeville to bank and prepare ingredients.
10. Make Quicklime and Barrel Bomb
· Use limestone with the furnace to make quicklime (wear gloves!).
· Grind sulfur with a pestle and mortar.
· Use the fractionalizing steel machine near the chemist in Remington to make barrels of napsar.
· Combine quicklime, sulfur, and a barrel of napsar with a strip of cloth to make a barrel bomb.
11. Final Return Through the Underground Pass
· Teleport back to West Ardougne.
· Bring your barrel bomb, bow, arrows, ropes, spade, tinderbox, and food.
· Retrace your path through the underground pass.
· Use the barrel bomb to blow open obstacles.
· Finish the quest by following the final steps inside the elven lands.
Tips & Tricks
· Mark or note your safe path across the 5x5 grid—it's account-specific.
· Use weight-reducing armor and gloves to save run energy and offset the heavy barrel bomb.
· Bring plenty of food and stamina potions; agility and poison damage will challenge you.
