Royal Titans Boss Guide in OSRS 2025

Aug-01-2025 PST

In this article, we're diving deep into the Royal Titans, one of the newest boss encounters in Old School RuneScape (OSRS). Designed for mid-to-high-level players, the Royal Titans offer a dynamic, fast-paced, gear-switch-heavy encounter that serves as a fantastic training ground for those looking to break into the higher tiers of PvM.

Whether you're going solo or teaming up with a buddy, this fight demands awareness, versatility, and some solid stat and gear progression. Let's walk through everything you need to know—requirements, setup, mechanics, strategy, and loot—to start farming the Titans efficiently.

Who Are the Royal Titans?

The Royal Titans are a duo boss encounter featuring two towering foes:

· Eldrich, the Ice King

· Brando, the Fire Queen

While they're not top-tier endgame bosses like Verzik or the Wardens, they're tougher than basic bosses like Scurrius, Giant Mole, or Barrows. Their design emphasizes gear switching, elemental attacks, and adaptive combat styles, giving players a true taste of real bossing mechanics without jumping into overwhelming content.

This makes them perfect for players:

· Progressing into PvM content

· Improving their combat switches

· Gearing up for more lucrative bosses

Requirements

Recommended Levels

· Combat Level: 90+ strongly recommended

· Melee Stats: 70+ Attack and Strength

· Ranged: 70+

· Magic: 75+ for Fire Wave and Water Wave, although 60+ is fine with the Twin Flame Staff

· Prayer: 43+ (Protect from Melee minimum)

  · 60+ for Chivalry

  · 70+ for Piety, which gives a huge edge in DPS

Additional Unlocks

· Rune Pouch (for spell efficiency)

· Fairy Ring Access (for faster travel)

· Barrows Gloves (from Recipe for Disaster)

· Imbued Slayer Helm (for Ice/Fire Giant tasks)

· Rune Defender or better

How to Get There

The Royal Titans reside deep within the Asgarnian Ice Dungeon, southwest of Port Sarim.

Travel Options:

· Fairy Ring (AIQ) – Mudskipper Point, short run away

· Player-Owned House in Remington

· Explorer's Ring – Teleport to the cabbage patch north of Port Sarim

· Giant Soul Amulet – Teleports you directly to the boss (charges with 1 Law Rune + 1 Big Bone)

If you don't have the amulet yet, you can obtain Big Bones from Ice Giants outside the boss room. Later, you can exchange extra amulets for 30 noted Big Bones each at the Odd Old Man east of Varrock.

(Void only requires +39 Magic bonus)

· Super Attack + Strength Potions (or Super Combat if you prefer)

· Ranging Potion

· 5x Prayer Potions

· Gear Switches for Ranged and Mage styles

· Teleport: Dueling Ring or Giant Soul Amulet

Fight Mechanics: Phase by Phase

Phase One: Movement & Elementals

·Titans begin off the platform, circling the area.

· Melee only when they walk near you to stomp (Protect from Melee).

· Otherwise, use Ranged.

· Fire/Ice Walls appear and section off parts of the arena. Use:

  · Water spells to dissipate Fire walls

  · Fire spells to dissipate Ice walls

· Elementals spawn regularly (Fire or Ice) – deal AoE melee damage if not killed in 10 seconds.

  · Use Fire Wave or Water Wave for guaranteed, double-damage max hits

  · Elementals explode in a 3x3 pattern if left unchecked

Use gear with at least +70 Magic Bonus or +39 with Void Mage to auto-hit them.

Phase Two: Platform Battle

· When either Titan drops below 35% HP (~210 HP), both teleport to the central platform and become stationary.

· They use Elemental Blast:

  · Highlights a safe tile

  · 3 waves of magic blasts hit every other tile for up to 30 damage

  · Stay on the safe spot and use Range to continue DPS

· After one Titan dies:

  · The remaining Titan ignores Protect from Melee

  · Their blast safe spot moves to the furthest possible tile

  · Finish the fight quickly to avoid this phase becoming brutal

Duo Fight Strategy

Duoing the Titans are both efficient and forgiving.

· Health does not scale with more players

· Divide elemental responsibilities:

  · One player focuses on Fire Spells

  · Other uses Water Spells

· Having two players means:

  · Less gear switching

  · Faster kills

  · Easier elemental clears

· Killing both Titans around the same time reduces duration and avoids the second Titan's buffed Phase 2

Loot & Profits

After the fight, you can choose one of the following from either Titan:

1. Take Loot – Regular drops

2. Sacrifice – Double your pet's chance (no loot)

3. Take Pages – Guaranteed Desiccated Pages (used to craft unique pages)

Standard Loot Table

· Rune items (Alchables)

· Runes, Bolts, Ammo

· Seeds (Eldrich: Tree/Herb seeds; Brando: Grimy herbs)

· Coal, Gold Ore

Unique Drops

Item Drop Rate (Solo) Description

Giant Soul Amulet 1 in 6 Teleports to Royal Titans, charges with Big Bones

Prayer Scrolls 1 in 75

 - Deadeye (Eldrich): Upgrades Eagle Eye

 - Mystic Vigor (Brando): Upgrades Mystic Might

Crown Pieces 1 in ??? Combine Fire/Ice pieces with Battlestaff to create Twin Flame Staff

Pet 1 in 3,000 1 in 500 if you sacrifice your loot

Profit Per Hour

Low Gear 12 ~660k

Max Gear 25 ~1.4M

With Twin Flame Staff (~5.4m) +36k/kill Up to ~2.7M/hr

Duoing gives half the loot, but twice the speed. Efficiency is similar, but duos can be more chill.

Final Thoughts

The Royal Titans are an excellent mid-game boss, especially for players wanting to improve. They're far from the most OSRS gold profitable boss, but what they offer in terms of mechanical depth and PvM training value is arguably more valuable, especially for Ironmen or aspiring bossers.
